Securesearch Inc. has introduced the Odor Simulants Kit for Chemical Warfare (CW) Agents in which only the odors are simulated, not the appearance or other characteristics of the agents. The purpose is to introduce first responders to the odors of these 10 very hazardous CW agents. There is a laminated card in the carrying case that shows 12 different products and describes their odors. Two of the indicated products are odorless, so there are no vials for those two agents included in the kits. There are 10 glass vials each containing a permeation unit, which is a finely multi-perforated inner vial, containing the simulant sample, and allows it to emit some detectable vapor at a known rate.
